Packaged with four pairs of 3D glasses to support four-player multiplayer action, and featuring classic enemies culled from the annals of film history, this inspired 3D shooter jumps right out of your television and into your living room

Attack of the Movies is a rail shooter where each level is themed around a genre of film, usually a monster movie. For instance one of the levels we played was a city being attacked by giant insects. It's a pretty basic game. Whatever enemies is in the level fly and run at the screen, and players shoot the crap out of it by pointing the Wii remote at the screen and pressing the A button. Shaking the Wii Remote reloads the gun. Player's reticule shows on screen so they can see where to aim. The game moves through the environments almost constantly. In the giant bug level we ran in and out of buildings, through the streets, and eventually to a helicopter which took us up into the air (before it crashed back down in a fiery wreck). All the while we were shooting giant ants, stink bugs, and flies, before fighting off a gigantic scorpion. There was also a space ship level, Cosmic Combat, where we were apparently a starship of some sort. There we had to shoot down other ships, along with enemy turrets and eventually a huge armor plated energy sphere. We flew in and out of space stations and through trenches ala the attack on the Death Star in Star Wars. As the level goes through there are health packs and weapons that players can pick up. The upgraded weapons are limited use, but they pack a much bigger punch than the standard pistol. The game is actually pretty challenging on hard, so grabbing those health packs becomes essential to survival.

The 3D in the game uses those red and blue glasses, which at least fits with the retro theme even if it makes games look ugly. If you don't mind the colors being shifted to acid trip mode the 3D is kind of cool. Enemies that pop up in the foreground actually look like they're right up against the screen. Overall though it feels more like a gimmick, so we're glad the game defaults to not using it. The game seems pretty fun so far. There are four levels we haven't tried, including a horror themed one with zombies, and a Terminator-esque robot one. The multiplayer makes it a lot more entertaining since in addition to fighting all the enemies, you're also fighting each other to grab the powerups and health packs. Each level also has some unique weapons.

The Wii Remote has been a lot of things for a lot of sports. A baseball bat, a tennis racquet. An airplane, a sword and even a bow (with Nunchuk bowstring). It's worked pretty well for most of those. For some pieces of sporting equipment, though, the controller's motion capability just hasn't been a suitable substitute. Case in point, darts.

Games like PDC World Championship Darts, along with numerous tag-along mini-games in the system's many shovelware compilations, have tried and failed to leverage the Remote's potential into an accurate re-creation of real-world dart-throwing. Pub Darts, recently released as a five-dollar WiiWare download from developer Big Blue Bubble, tries again -- but it too falls flat. A lack of real connection with the action, some poor presentation choices and a restrictive selection of different gameplay modes all combine to ensure that, same as before, we're still waiting for the game that gets darts right on Wii.

Pub Darts is incredibly straightforward and simple in its controls. You hold the Remote like a dart, of course, with your hand underneath and your index finger wrapped over on top to be able to press the A Button. You then press and hold A to make the hovering cursor on the game's virtual dartboard pause and lock on target, flick your wrist forward quickly and let off A to let your dart fly. Hopefully, it'll impact on the board somewhere near the place you aimed. Often, it won't.

The theme, as one might surmise from the title, is games under the big top. There are 20 games in the collection, although many of these games are simply slight variations of one another.

In fact, the vast majority of the games involve either shooting, in which you point the Wii remote where you want to fire and press the B button, or throwing, in which you point the Wii remote where you want to throw and flick the nunchuk stick. Shoot at planes bothering King Kong, throw balls at a dunking booth, shoot at monsters in a haunted house, throw pies at clowns. The game does a decent job of differentiating these mini-games by putting a different twist on most of them, but they are still fundamentally the same thing.

A handful of games go beyond the shoot/throw formula, as when you must keep a tightrope walker balanced as birds land on his balancing pole or garnish hotdogs as they slide down a conveyer belt. There are also a couple of memory games, in one of which frogs sing and you must then flick them in the right order.

Most of these games are fairly enjoyable, so it’s a shame that the developers of Circus Games weren’t willing to go the extra mile. There are a few minor things that would have improved the game enormously. For example, since the main game screen takes about 20 seconds to load, it would have been nice to have the option to replay a mini-game right when you finish it, instead of being forced to sit through the load time and reselecting the game and then sitting through that game’s load time. Also, in quick mode, which allows you to choose any games you want, there is nothing in the game selection method showing what you have scored the last time you played.

To save his friends from the "amorous zombies" spell, machine gun in hand, he will have to solve the mystery of the "scented dwarves" and destroy the evil power hidden in the castle of the most northern city in Zombie Panic in Wonderland…

Zombie Panic in Wonderland is a third-person shooter game with a simple control system. The player controls the character’s movements with the Nunchuk while aiming and shooting at enemies with the Wii Remote. The levels are divided into three parts and at the end of each one the player will have to defeat a final boss.

The 3D scenery is completely destructible and can be incinerated -- the map of the scene changes during the game as the player destroys the objects he has within sight (from boxes of sweets to entire buildings). Two people can play at the same time in multiplayer mode and can choose between three different characters.
